These terms apply to the use of the ForkReal website and app, offered by Rubeon (Chamber of Commerce 97655414), the company behind ForkReal. By using ForkReal you agree to these terms.
1. What ForkReal is
ForkReal helps you eat gluten-free by combining community reviews with a data-driven glutenscore. The information is intended as a tool for comparing and discovering venues.
Important: not medical advice and not a safety guarantee
The glutenscore and all information on ForkReal are an indication based on reviews and open data — not a guarantee that a venue is safe for you, and not medical advice. Cross-contamination with gluten can never be fully ruled out anywhere.
You remain responsible for your own choices. Always mention your coeliac disease or gluten intolerance when you order, and consult your doctor or dietitian if you are unsure. ForkReal is not liable for harm to health or other damage arising from use of the information, to the extent permitted by law.
2. Your account
For some features you sign in with Apple or Google. You are responsible for the use of your account. ForkReal is intended for users aged 16 and over.
3. Reviews and photos you post
- Share only your own, truthful experience. Do not copy menu or review texts from third parties.
- Do not post unlawful, offensive, misleading or infringing content.
- You keep your rights to your reviews and photos, but you grant ForkReal a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and process them within the service (in the glutenscore, for example).
- We may moderate or remove content that breaches these terms.
4. Premium subscriptions
ForkReal offers an optional Premium subscription. Purchase and payment run through the App Store (Apple) or Google Play; payment is handled by the store in question. You cancel and manage the subscription in your store account. Purchases are also subject to the terms of the store in question, including the applicable right of withdrawal and any trial periods as stated with the offer at the time of purchase.
5. Advertising
The free version may show advertisements. With a Premium subscription you see no advertisements. We only show personalised advertising after you consent.
6. Intellectual property
The ForkReal software, the brand, the glutenscore methodology and the compiled content are owned by Rubeon or its licensors. Restaurant base data comes from OpenStreetMap and is shown with attribution, under that source’s licence.
7. Termination
You can delete your account at any time. We may restrict or end access in the event of abuse or a breach of these terms.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, ForkReal is not liable for indirect damage or damage arising from reliance on the information shown. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory law.
9. Changes
We may amend these terms. We will inform you of significant changes through the app or the website. The date at the top shows the most recent change.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by Dutch law. We will bring disputes before the competent court in Gelderland, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
